Routine Inspection

1.1 Visual Inspection

· Before starting the equipment each day, carefully examine the chassis for visible damage such as cracks, deformations, or wear. Pay special attention to critical components, including the frame and track frame. If damage is detected, mark it for further evaluation and inspection. Small cracks should be checked with flaw-detection equipment to determine if immediate repairs are necessary.

· Inspect the coating on the chassis. If peeling or damage is found, repaint the affected areas to prevent corrosion. Given the humid and dusty mining environment, exposed metal parts are particularly susceptible to rust.

1.2 Inspection of Connection Parts

· Check the connecting bolts of all chassis parts to ensure they are secure, not loose, missing, or damaged. Use a torque wrench to verify and tighten key bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque. For example, bolts connecting the track shoes to the chain links should be regularly inspected to prevent loosening, which could lead to track shoe detachment.

· Examine the condition of the connecting pins, particularly for signs of wear. Severely worn pins should be replaced promptly to avoid compromising the connection reliability and preventing gaps or shaking between components.

Lubrication Work

2.1 Identify Lubrication Points

· Mining chassis parts have several key lubrication points, including but not limited to the bearings of track rollers, carrier rollers, idler wheels, and drive wheels. Make a detailed list of all lubrication points to ensure comprehensive coverage during maintenance.

· Mark lubrication points clearly on the equipment to help operators locate and service them efficiently.

2.2 Select Appropriate Lubricants

· Choose high-quality lubricants based on the equipment manufacturer's recommendations, designed for the harsh mining environment. In high-temperature, heavy-load, and dusty conditions, lubricants with anti-wear, anti-oxidation, and anti-contamination properties are essential. For instance, track rollers should be lubricated with grease containing extreme-pressure additives to withstand substantial stress.

· Consider seasonal changes when selecting lubricants. In cold weather, opt for lubricants with good low-temperature fluidity to ensure proper lubrication during cold starts.

2.3 Lubrication Frequency

· Establish a regular lubrication schedule. Frequently used components, such as track rollers and carrier rollers, may need lubrication daily or every few days, while key parts like drive wheels may require more frequent attention. Ensure that during each lubrication cycle, the lubricant fully fills the lubricated area and overflows, indicating thorough coverage.

 

Cleaning Work

3.1 Removal of Debris

· After mining operations, debris such as soil, rocks, and dust often accumulate on the chassis. Use a high-pressure water gun or specialized cleaning tools to remove debris, particularly around the tracks and sprockets, which could affect track performance and increase component wear.

· For debris lodged in tight areas, such as internal gaps within components, use compressed air to blow it out. Be careful not to direct the airflow into sensitive parts like bearings.

3.2 Cleaning of Oil Stains

· Oil leaks or seepage may result in the accumulation of oil stains on chassis parts. Regularly clean these stains using appropriate cleaning agents. Be mindful to protect the coatings and seals to prevent damage from harsh chemicals. Properly dispose of cleaning wastewater to avoid contaminating the mining environment.

 

Regular In-Depth Maintenance

4.1 Comprehensive Disassembly and Inspection

·  Based on equipment usage and performance, conduct periodic disassembly and inspection of the chassis components. This includes removing track rollers, carrier rollers, drive wheels, and other parts to assess internal wear. For example, inspect the rollers and raceways inside the track rollers. If wear exceeds the specified limits, replace the components.

· Perform non-destructive testing (e.g., ultrasonic or magnetic particle inspection) on the structural components of the chassis to detect hidden issues such as internal cracks. This proactive approach helps identify potential safety hazards and ensures stable operation during subsequent use.

4.2 Component Replacement and Repair

· During in-depth maintenance, promptly replace severely worn or damaged components. For parts that are still repairable, such as those that can be restored through processes like welding or machining, perform the necessary repairs. However, ensure that repaired parts undergo strict quality control to meet operational standards before being reinstalled.
